The Fifth Street Bridge 66505 is located 0.1 miles east of the junction of Highway 53 (TH 3) and Fifth Street West, over the Cannon River. The bridge was originally constructed in 1963, and had a rehabilitation performed in 1986.
The Fifth Street Bridge 66505 Maintenance Project includes expansion joint repair, concrete approach panel replacement, and other miscellaneous bridge repairs that have been identified in the latest bridge inspection.
The bridge will be closed during this project.
April 18 to late June.
A detour will be posted using Highway 3, Woodley Street (TH 246) and Water Street detouring traffic around the work area. Access to Northfield Area Fire and Rescue will be maintained to the public throughout the duration of the project.
The project process is the actions the City of Northfield utilizes for local improvements during project development. This step by step process includes opportunities for City Council and residents to provide input on the proposed project.
