The Spring Creek Townhome Project received tax credits from Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and tax increment financing (TIF) from the Northfield City Council in 2012. These two funding sources helped to provide the infrastructure and building development of townhomes.
The units have on-site property management and are available for rent to households at or below 60% area median income. The units are owned by Spring Creek Townhomes LP and managed by Lloyd Management.
Phase 2
Spring Creek II is opening in summer 2023. It will add another 32 affordable rental units. Rice County HRA has openings for 16 townhomes; three-bedroom and four-bedroom units are available.
Phase 1
Spring Creek I was completed in November 2013 is are currently open and occupied. It provides 28 new multilevel rental townhomes.
